HFSQC Welcomes Students for School Year 2024-2025 with Exciting Updates
Holy Family School of Quezon City (HFSQC) has officially commenced the School Year 2024-2025, welcoming back students, parents, and staff with a series of exciting announcements and updates. The School Directress, Dr. Teresita Arcos-Surot, expressed her enthusiasm and pride in the community’s continued trust and partnership.
One of the most significant updates this year is the introduction of new leadership within the school. The newly designated Principal, Mrs. Glenda Peralta, brings a wealth of experience and fresh perspectives to the role. Additionally, the school welcomes Mrs. Carissa Fangon in her new role as the Assistant Principal for Grade School and High School, Mrs. Marjorie Tacsagon as the new Student Affairs Coordinator, and Ms. Czarinah Salvacion as the new Learning Resource Center Coordinator. These leaders, along with the other members of the Administrative Council, are expected to play crucial roles in enhancing the academic and student life experience at HFSQC.
The directress also takes pride in announcing that the pool of teachers for this academic year comprises both seasoned and new educators, all of whom are LET passers. This diverse and qualified team is dedicated to providing the highest quality education in a nurturing and supportive environment.
In an impressive move, HFSQC is fully prepared to implement the new MATATAG Curriculum. This readiness follows a comprehensive three-day training for private school teachers, a joint project of the Association of Private School Administrators and the Schools Division Office of Quezon City. Most of the trainers were the framers of the MATATAG Curriculum, including renowned educators like Dr. Greg T. Pawilen, who serves as a consultant of DepEd and other educational associations in the country, and the core team of the Schools Division Office of Quezon City headed by the Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Carleen Sedilla. The intensive three-day training equipped teachers with the necessary tools and knowledge to enhance the students' learning experiences and help them reach their full potential.
The school continues to uphold its strong stance against bullying, reinforcing a zero-tolerance policy. This policy is supported by robust programs designed to foster respect, empathy, and kindness among students. The directress emphasized the importance of collaboration among students and parents in adhering to established guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe and positive school environment.
The first week of classes is highlighted as a cornerstone of the academic year. The school has meticulously planned activities aimed at ensuring all students, whether returning or new, feel welcomed and supported. These initial days are essential in setting a positive tone for the year ahead, promoting a spirit of unity and cooperation within the HFSQC community.
As the school year begins, the HFSQC community looks forward to a memorable and successful academic journey. The directress expressed her gratitude for the trust and partnership of the parents and guardians, encouraging everyone to stay connected for further updates and announcements.
With these new developments and a strong commitment to excellence, Holy Family School of Quezon City is poised to make School Year 2024-2025 an outstanding and transformative experience for all its members.
